After fighting bulimia for years, the artist decides to face her eating disorder by painting. The young, feminine character represents the artist's inner ego, where it was hinted how 'though she looks perfectly fine, bubbly even, most of the time, her self consciousness has been completely destroyed by the thought of binging then taking medical substances afterwards for weight loss/weight maintenance.
Inspired by the "Super Flat Movement" by Takashi Murakami, she also added the element of shoujo manga in her piece; bold lines and one-tone pastel colours, enough to attract the attention of the audience, just so it would the pills stand out even more due to the heavy contrast.
